We have writing, we have people who have eaten, we have people who are thinking about eating, and we have Google telling us that antarctic penguins are invading every continent.

I confess I'm slightly distracted by that last one.

I used to live where these little guys (http://www.tchange.com.au/visits/penguins.html) would come ashore, but I never saw one, much to my sadness.

If they'd been carrying glow-sticks, all would have been better.

I am busting through some revisions... unsure why I ever thought I could write, ready to burn the whole thing, that kind of authorial position ;)

Don't worry - it'll only be another of those media panics. I expect they're just looking for the South Pole, having taken a wrong turn on the way home. The ones round my town (and, please, please, can we have them back unharmed?) have been trying that for a while.

I had a rest. NOw it is time for me to be having dinner, but I went back online to waste people's time.

I have eaten, gotten a blanket, and am settling in for some "research" which may actually help transform a story from image + atmosphere in my head to a batch of words.

Or not. Every time I get a five-minute stretch of "ooh this story wants to be written! come here story!", somebody wants me to do something else. I thought I moved out to get away from this. :-(

That was bloody annoying! I was waiting for a d/l to finish so I could reboot the laptop. It spent 40 minutes telling me there were only 5 more minutes until it finished - then crashed with 1 min left!
