Just over 600 words. The rampageous Five Times plot bunny won the battle for my brain, and I'm re-watching bits of Law & Order: UK eps so I can write the fic. *sigh*
I have... had lunch, spoken to my parents, wrestled with some very old floppy discs (I won, mostly but they refused to let go of two particularly wanted files), got Spotify back... and ... um... yeah.
Illness ate my brain this week. I shall remain hopeful and cheer peoples on.
Good job on recovering stuff from old floppies! I have a huge play script I wrote on an old Mac SE years ago that I would love such recovery skillz for.
Nice to know I'm not the only one who has to tell their characters to wait their turn. Some of them are gracious about it, but others are downright cantankerous when they have to wait.
I got up and managed to sort of finish the outlineish story-arc-like thing for a challenge fic I'm supposed to be writing but haven't actually started. It's messy, but workable.
LOL Yeah. Mine aren't exactly cantankerous - just doing that thing where they sit there, arms folded, looking expectant, and whenever anyone else tries to come in, they get glared at until they meekly slide out again.
My cat is watching Cat TV (goggling out the window at squirrels) - but I'm sure she would gladly volunteer to soak up some pettings, perhaps we ought to have a pet-rush on the side.
Thanks. Oh, I'm better, I'm just not good for much yet! (And impatient.) :-)
 Well, mostly I keep trying in different ways till something works (Top tip: never believe computer-dramatics about corrupt files, non-formatted discs etc.), and most of them were still okay anyway, but these two were probably about 20 page documents, and floppies never took kindly to that sort of thing. I'll creep up on them again when they're not looking and see if they'll open or copy if I take them by surprise...
This is a side-community for fic_rush, where we post our hourly posts during rounds. If you've wandered in here by accident, you'll want to go there instead.
If you're with fic_rush and have just shown up, look for most recent hourly post.
