It's pouring with rain here so there won't be any gardening for me today.
That SHOULD mean plenty of time to get some writing done, but the overcast, dreary wether is making me feel cold and lethargic, so the words are coming very slowly. I'd rather curl up with the book I'm reading, but I have several weekly writing challenges on my To Do list so I want to be able to cross at least one off.
So I started something for a challenge, then discovered it wouldn't work for that challenge and fits much better with something that has no set deadline, so I've abandond that one to work on later and I'm trying something else for the challenge. *sigh*
Um, thanks but no thanks, I'll just stay here in the midlands where it doesn't snow as much, lol!
Somehow the more I edit my fics the longer they get as I notice bits that need to be fleshed out, and sections that aren't very clear and might confuse readers, and places where there could be a bit more dialogue... The only times they get shorter is if I have to hit a particular word count and I've gone over with the first draft.
