Morning! It's nearly lunchtime here, so I think it's time to do something. I was going to attempt words, but I think I'm going to be a bad 'rusher and attempt some family historying instead.

I have committed some words to a new story, and now I'm going to abandon the freezing temperatures indoors and head outside to battle the overgrown wilderness. It's warmer out there.

Well, I'm glad you're heading to warmer temps!

It was lovely outside, but then I had to come back indoors and wrap up warm to survive another even freezing in front of my computer. I don't think I can hold out much longer without heating though.

Goodness, when does heat kick on?

It doesn't. I have to light the fire, then clean it out twice a day for the rest of the winter. The central heating runs off the fire so until I light it there's no heat, but coal is expensive and I can't afford to light it too soon. Daytime temperatures are dropping to 7 Celsius toward the end of next week though so I think I'll be lighting it then. I usually try to wait until after Halloween, but...

Sad but true. I sort of envy people who live in buildings where the heat is taken care of for them, but even so I wouldn't want to give up my home and its overgrown garden. I've never lived anywhere else.
