Round 84, Hour 14

We're into the afternoon here in GMT and the snow flurries have drifted north to my neck of the woods.

I've run to a stop on my writing so I'm debating between lunch or a nap to revive myself, how is everyone else getting on?

I am awake! And guess what I'm doing? Why, laundry, of course!

My planned projects for the weekend are mostly sewing, although I have a quiet hope that the 'Rush energy will sneak into my brain and inspire me to do some of the research that I absolutely have to do to even attempt any of the various writing projects currently languishing in the back alley.

I'm up, almost awake even. Drinking tea and trying to get awake enough to write. I should do laundry today but I'm really not in the mood for putting on my boots and going outside. Washer and dryer are in the basement and the only entrance to the basement is from outside :( eh, maybe later.

I should probably also have some sort of breakfast. I'm really dragging this morning. I will write soon though!

I'm actually not doing any fandom writing this time around. It's all original and pop culture stuff. Right now, I'm writing up comics news for a Patreon-based newsletter. 1 more to go.

Breakfast is essential fuel for words. You can always save the laundry to work on when you need to pause and chew over phrasing, right?

I'm awake, have fed the cats, cleaned out our one cat's crate (trying to help her re-learn to use the litterbox), emptied/filled the dishwasher -- usually D's job but he's got a nasty chest cold so I'm being nice -- made coffee and got dressed. I also have a PLAN to write something to help get my massive WIP of 7 years back on track! This is like, plan F or so, but it is a plan! I have nowhere to go this weekend and nothing to do except writing and taxes. woo!

Writing is MUCH more important than taxes, right? Right? *glances uncomfortably at tax docs that I also have to deal with this weekend*

Made a grilled cheese for breakfast. I think laundry will wait until the afternoon when the path to the basement is less icy.

Especially since I was supposed to be done with taxes like 2 weekends ago and just keep blowing them off. Maybe if I let them sit for a while they will get less complicated?

(I sewed! I mean, not this weekend, but in the past few months I have sewed a flannel nightgown and a pair of gi pants for karate. With hems and elastics and everything. :D Also I take karate now. What are you sewing?)
