And create a sub-species of miniature giraffes that are good and can infiltrate Giraffe HQ and spy for us. But I may just have to leave that for tomorrow.

I think the amount of megalomania around here is probably fairly constant, what with Pitry's mesmerizing giraffes and Skyler's maniacal laughter and Jjpor's remarkable resemblance to the Master and . . . you know. We just don't always see it.

My characters are really talking to each other so right now the writing is flowing. I've done 519 words since I last checked in. I'm going to write for another half hour or so, then start carrying in firewood. It'll take about thirty trips out to the wood pile and back. Also I'm going to can another batch of beans. The jars are washed and ready to go, just have to fill them with the soaked beans and get the pressure canner fired up.

Also, still drinking coffee.
