just now learned there's a local poetry contest open to submissions the next few weeks, cash prize, must show up at the sponsor event to win but that's probably deal-with-able and definitely not a concern unless I win, so now I'm staring at

Write a poem that intersects with the themes of Nature, healing, and/or change.

and trying to remember a single thing about any of those topics

(okay no that's a lie, there's a poem-to-be been bubbling in the back of my head for a while about broken things and healing, I could probably get it solid by early January, but it's not got much nature in, and the sponsor is a gardens that makes a big point of the healing powers of nature…)
